Kaurna Cronin is a wandering storyteller. As part of a new breed of Australian artists he is constantly redeveloping the way music is written and shared globally. With grand story-telling, folk jams and a lyrical sincerity beyond his years, Cronin's unique folk blend and moving performances have been capturing audiences throughout Europe and Australia, establishing this young singer songwriter as an international sensation.
The new album Southern Loss is described by Kaurna as “a homage to a land I call Home”. The entire Album is set deep in Australian surroundings. It was recorded in a hand built studio in the hills of Adelaide, Kaurna’s hometown, collaborating with artists Tom Kneebone, Kiah Gossner, David Resce and many more.
The first single PASSION PARADE reveals the story of a young woman who leaves her small regional settlement in search for a love and a life amongst a city. A city she would never fully understand.

“The label ‘surprise act’ would suit very well for the 21 year young folkrocker and singer-songwriter Kaurna Cronin. The ten tracks on his official international debut record ‘Glass Fool’ are all top songs which could all end up in the hitparades, if only the radio stations would be able to detect this still very much hidden young Australian talent. To be explored very fast!“ - rootstime.be

There are three things Adelaide singer/songwriter Kaurna Cronin is never short of: wistful lyrical imagery, a rugged acoustic guitar progression and a new record to promote.
So it is that we find the prolific Cronin on the cusp of releasing his sophomore full-length Southern Loss, which builds on the rich full-band sounds of last year’s Glass Fool with a renewed focus on the land and culture of the Southern heartland that gave Kaurna his name and home.
Passion Parade is the first slice of the new record, and shows off Cronin’s appreciation for twanging guitar solos, strummed chords and subtle, rim-driven drums, comparable to the sounds of mid-80s Paul Kelly that so successfully penetrated the national consciousness.

We’re positively tickled to premiere the track’s brand new video, which features Cronin and his current bandmates – Tom Kneebone and Kiah Gossner of Bearded Gypsy Band fame – wandering about a series of very Australian settings, from the red dirt and scrub of Moonta’s outskirts to the frothy waves of the Spencer Gulf, with a side of downing red tinnies on a well-worn kitchen table. Oh, and let’s not forget the tried and true guitar-solo-on-a-hill – it’s a classic for a reason.

Passion Parade

Written by Kaurna Cronin

People say she's lonely
others say she's wild
Friends say she's moving on
some say she's mine
Doesn't pay to be down and out
for too long a while
'Cause Hindley street only feels like heaven
for a little while

You drove south to Adelaide
found feet on the passion parade
Country girl
I never would have stopped you babe
what's new to love if people don't change
Country girl
Runaway
Chasing cheap replacements
swapping gin for vodka
While neon bars sparkle
in black leather brogues

In the those sugary few hours
you forget everything
and you know it don't fix nothing
but you just wanna get high

You drove south to Adelaide
found feet on the passion parade
Country girl
I never would have stopped you babe
what's new to love if people don't change
Country girl
