-------------------------------------------- QUOTES --------------------------------------------
'A beautiful album that nourishes the soul through pure musicality and sublimely sensitive songwriting. A gargantuan triumph.' - Chris Vaudin

'The stunning Meadow Sways is a piece that sounds like a lost timeless classic. It is so well poised in its writing, performance, arrangement, texture and blend that it is almost beyond criticism – its just a well made lovely thing.'  - Davey Ray Moor (formerly of Cousteau).

'Rob Spalding is a highly talented singer songwriter. Armed with an awe-inspiring voice capable of sending shivers down your spine, Rob has approached the folk acoustic scene with passion, soul and honesty.' - Sam Rowe (sound engineer, composer & producer).

Bio:
Rivers Of England are an acoustic alternative band from the Bristol area that play mostly in a modern folk style.  They are a collective varying in size from 2 to 7, with a unique sound centred around Rob Spalding’s powerful vocals and a prominent string presence from the double bass, cello and viola – coloured by keyboards and percussion.

For an acoustic band they have had more than their fair share of ‘folk n roll’ experiences - supporting The Fall, amusing hospital visits delaying a return from tour and having a surgeon regularly playing their album during operations.  Rivers Of England launched their debut EP on a canal boat.  They want the world to get better and it is clear that they have no shortage of hope.
Recent successes for the band include airplay on BBC Introducing and selection in the top 1.5% of the contestants in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition 2013.
